Converting traditional organizations into AI-powered enterprises can be a daunting task. Although more and more companies are trying to follow the path toward digital transformation, too often they are slowed by unrealistic expectations, bogged down in data siloes, tripped up by ultimately unworkable home-grown solutions, or led astray by one-off projects that can’t scale.

Instead of wandering in the digital transformation on their own, companies need experts to guide them on the adoption path and an end-to-end, flexible enterprise AI platform to support their efforts for the long-term.

That’s where C3 AI’s solutions leaders come in.

“I’m engaged with customers to make them successful,” explains David Clayton, a former McKinsey consultant who joined C3 AI in early 2020 as director of solutions leaders. “I stay close to the technology and data science and I work with great teams to solve new types of problems all of the time.”

Over the next decade, organizations will spend nearly $13 trillion on AI-related initiatives. They don’t really have a choice in the matter; Harvard Business Review reports that more than half of the companies on the Fortune 500 list in 2000 had ceased to exist by 2017, consumed in the tsunami of digital disruption that continues unabated.

Those that already have begun deploying AI, on the other hand, can gain nearly $1.4 billion in average annualized value from digital transformation. Within the next decade, AI will generate $13 trillion in economic activity worldwide, according to McKinsey.

It’s one thing to announce a digital transformation plan; it’s another matter to actually implement it. Working with a business-centered mindset, C3 AI solutions leaders know how to guide corporate leaders toward deploying AI and machine learning to their greatest benefit.

Pauline Brunet, a former consultant for PWC Canada and Element AI, joined C3 AI as a solutions leader in the summer of 2020 “to do impactful work and explore and solve complex problems using AI and machine learning for some of the largest organizations across the globe,” she said.

There are five key steps involved in deploying the power of AI:

  1. Identify a high-impact opportunity that addresses a key business pain point, often involving problems which previously had been deemed unsolvable
  2. Scope the use case within the context of business priorities and access to historical data to home in on tractable AI/ML problems
  3. Drive rapid implementation of a pilot application on the C3 AI® Suite
  4. Demonstrate proven value and business impact with the initial application
  5. Support ongoing solution deployment and develop an adoption roadmap to expand across the enterprise

At C3 AI, solutions leaders serve clients in many industries:
