Redwood City‚ Calif. – June 20‚ 2016 – C3.ai™ today announced that the U.S. Department of State awarded the company a multi-year contract up to $25 million to provide the C3.ai enterprise application development platform. This is the Federal Government’s first enterprise-wide contract to deploy energy management and predictive analytics technology globally‚ which will help achieve and maintain statutory‚ executive order‚ and department energy and sustainability goals.

Under this agreement‚ C3.ai will enable the U.S. Department of State to gain dynamic‚ real-time operational insights and efficiencies by analyzing all data from enterprise and extraprise systems and sensors across 22‚000+ Department facilities in 190+ countries. With C3.ai’s machine learning-based platform and software application suite‚ the Department will automatically monitor‚ analyze‚ and support energy management across all assets‚ predict impending failures of critical facility equipment‚ and monitor the health of the sensor and device infrastructure.

In collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS)‚ C3.ai will deploy and operate the C3 Platform™ and software applications in AWS GovCloud (U.S.)‚ an isolated AWS region designed to host sensitive data and regulated workloads in the cloud‚ ensuring compliance with U.S. government requirements‚ including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
