Logo_Pella2Pella Corporation designs and manufactures made-to-order and custom windows and doors, plus services for almost every type of home or building being constructed today. That’s skyscrapers, brand new homes, apartment complexes and everything in-between. They are recognized as window and door experts, and are industry leaders in green and energy-efficient technologies. In 2016, Pella Corporation was awarded the U.S Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award for the ninth year.

Pella’s commitment to continually improve its processes for its team members and the environment has led the company to seek innovative technologies that advance overall productivity and the quality of its manufacturing operations.

In 2011, Pella deployed one of C3 IoT’s flagship SaaS applications, C3 Energy Management, built on the C3 IoT Platform, to improve energy efficiency across all 10 of its manufacturing plants. Since then, Pella has successfully automated and augmented its energy efficiency efforts by using the C3 IoT solution to model, analyze, and forecast energy consumption across its plant operations, and provide the company with actionable insights and recommendations on ways to save energy and money.

Results

Pella reduced energy costs across 10 of its manufacturing plants by 16% -- achieving a 230% return on investment (ROI) with the C3 IoT application. C3 IoT remains an integral partner to Pella accomplishing its manufacturing sustainability and energy efficiency goals – and to its ongoing commitment to continuous process improvement across the organization.

“As a long-time innovator, Pella was early to recognize the potential business value inherent to C3 IoT’s technology platform and vision. For 5 years, C3 IoT has been fundamental to Pella’s ability to identify, achieve, and sustain the actions needed to accomplish our energy and emissions goals, across our manufacturing facilities.”
